Hawaii Football Travels to Tempe to Challenge Arizona State

HONOLULU (Hawaii News Now) – Following a challenging defeat against San Jose State, the University of Hawaii is preparing for a significant road challenge against Arizona State. This matchup in Tempe will be the first for the ‘Bows since 1958. Hawaii has struggled on the road, losing its last 18 games against Power conference teams.

A key emphasis this week is the team’s need to start strong, as they have only scored three first-half points in their previous two contests. UH linebacker Juju Smith remarked, “It’s all mental… We just gotta do our job, take it day by day, and play by play.” Additionally, this year highlights the 20th anniversary of the memorable 2006 Hawaii Bowl against Arizona State, where Hawaii produced an explosive second-half performance. Kickoff is slated for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Hawaii time, broadcast on FS1 and streaming via the Mountain West app.
