Lane Closures Scheduled on Ala Moana Boulevard for Skyline Station Construction

Beginning Monday, the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) will implement the closure of one more eastbound lane on Ala Moana Boulevard, specifically between Bishop and Richards streets.

More lanes to close for work on Skyline’s downtown Honolulu station

Beginning Monday, the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) will implement the closure of one more eastbound lane on Ala Moana Boulevard, specifically between Bishop and Richards streets. This lane will be closed continuously, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

In addition to this closure, the left turn from eastbound Ala Moana to Halekauwila Street will remain blocked at all times. However, HART assures that a minimum of two lanes will stay open during daytime hours. It is possible that more lanes may be shut down in both directions at night to facilitate construction. HART has advised that motorists, pedestrians, and nearby businesses should brace for traffic detours and increased construction activity due to heavy equipment usage, yet access to all properties will be maintained.
